Security 3.0: the continuous challenges and demands of cybersecurity

Ever since Internet connected various island systems, network security became a critical issue for enterprise. Building fortress and castle to prevent malwares enter enterprise network became the first security approach. Signature-based protection became the dominant security approach. Because hacker’s ability in developing “zero day malware” continues to enhance, APT sand box technology was then developed to meet the zero day malwares challenge. However, as malwars continue to penetrate into enterprise network, how to detect the enterprise internal network malware became a real challenge. Consequently, using “network behavior analysis” to detect potential enterprise internal malware emerges as a method to complement the existing security framework. Moreover, like military army, navy, and air force joint operations, how to coordinate between various security equipment security intelligence is critical in detecting the malwars. As Digital transformation and IoT (Internet of Things) become the enterprise transformation drivers, enterprise security enters into security 3.0 era. Previously, enterprise mainly focuses on IT and network security issues. Now, the security issues evolve into IT and OT (Operations Technology) integrated issues. Because of this need, HwaCom security has developed a security solution to address this security 3.0 challenge.
