Digicentre Company Limited President Paul Ding
Digicentre used to be the IDC, information security, system and network business department of Gamania, and has experience in processing information security risk control for over millions of members; currently Gamania holds 70% of Digicentre’s shares, and Mercuries Data Systems Ltd. (MDS) holds 30% of the shares respectively. Since Digicentre became independent in 2013, it has grown stronger, expending foreign customers continuously in recent years. It showed preliminary results in Hong Kong and Philippines during the first half of this year, and is going to expand towards South-East Asia next including Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. The three main businesses of Digicentre include IDC services, corporate information security protection and one-stop mobile App information security solutions. It has won the appraisal of the gaming entertainment industry, various major financial institutions and government agencies, etc., recently.
Digicentre is a mature information security enterprise that blocks over 6 million attacks every day for over 60,000 computers. It has accumulated years of skills and experience in the digital content industry. It transformed from traditional ISP (Internet Service Provider) to professional MSP (Management Service Provider), and its products has extended from IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) to SaaS (Security as a Service).
General manager Paul Ding indicated that the scope of information security is broad, and the services needed for each market are different. Take Hong Kong for example; because their financial industry is advanced, Digicentre used this as the entry point for expanding business. And in the Philippines, Digicentre began with its IR (Incident Response) service. As for other countries in South-East Asia, Digicentre entered from fields such as the gaming industry, mobile information security and smart security offices. Entering from different angles can help Digicentre solve local market needs, and it hopes to bring in other services as well in the future too.
