Taiwan Computer Emergency Response Team/Coordination Center (TWCERT/CC)

Taiwan Computer Emergency Response Team/Coordination Center (TWCERT/CC) was established in the National Sun Yat-sen University on September, 1998. Operated by the Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC) from January 2010 to July 2014 and the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) from August 2014 to December 2018, since January 2019, TWNIC again operates the TWCERT/CC. Starting in January 2024, the National Institute of Cyber Security (NICS) took over the operation of TWCERT/CC.

To enhance Taiwan's overall cybersecurity capabilities, TWCERT/CC, under the guidance of the Ministry of Digital Affairs (moda), promotes key tasks such as entrepreneurial cybersecurity incident referral, product vulnerability reporting, malicious file detection services, and organizing cybersecurity outreach activities. By sharing cybersecurity intelligence with domestic and international CERT/CSIRT, cybersecurity organizations, academic and research institutions, civil communities, government agencies, and private enterprises, TWCERT/CC aims to strengthen the country's overall cybersecurity collaborative defense capabilities and jointly safeguard Taiwan's cybersecurity.
