Since 2017, the exhibition item has been promoting a Cybersecurity Standard for IoT, and even set up field testing labs that provide guidance in testing. A total of 13 categories of cybersecurity industry standards have been established, including video surveillance, smart buses, smart street lights, and entry control systems. It also assists manufacturers with the incorporation of and compliance with international cybersecurity standards, having successfully facilitated 11 cases of cybersecurity field testing jointly with domestic cybersecurity companies. The initiative reduces the cybersecurity entry threshold for the digital transformation of traditional industries to provide comprehensive cybersecurity protection for the public in business and daily living.
Green Energy and cybersecurity are two of the government's six core strategic industries, and electric power is an essential infrastructure that maintains the momentum of industrial power as well as basic life functions. Thus, the Administration for Digital Industries, moda has created a smart power grid field laboratory at the Tainan Shalun Smart Green Energy Science City to perform cybersecurity drills and technical testing. The lab also provides a cybersecurity protection display of private networks.
Supply chain security has become a focus of attention for industries around the world. Meeting the cybersecurity audit requirements of major international companies is the first step towards securing major international orders and thriving in the market of high-end products. Starting from raw materials, assembly manufacturing, and system integration, the Administration for Digital Industries, moda provides opportunities for cybersecurity field test drills for various industries in Taiwan, and assists in the introduction of supplier safety management policies and supply chain cybersecurity solutions, such as multi-factor authentication, automated virus scanning systems, and cybersecurity situation room systems, establishing Taiwan as the most trusted partner in the global supply chain.
For three years starting in 2018, the exhibition item had been collaborating with SEMI Taiwan and the cybersecurity industry before finally launching the SEMI E187 Specification in 2022. It is the first international cybersecurity standards initiated by Taiwan related to semiconductors, which has become the rule of compliance for the introduction of cybersecurity measures by various semiconductor equipment manufacturers around the world. SEMI E187 standards strengthen the cybersecurity deployment capabilities of the global semiconductor industry supply chain, specifying key operational processes covering the operating system, endpoint protection, the management of network security, monitoring, and auditing.
