The current Director General of the MJIB has a distinguished career dedicated to national security safeguarding and major crime investigation. Having previously served as the Deputy Director of the New Taipei City Field Divisiont and Director of the National Security Operation Division, he assumed the leadership of the Bureau in 2024.
Since taking office, the Director General has significantly bolstered efforts to combat transnational crime, fraud syndicates, drug trafficking, and corruption. Simultaneously, he has proactively addressed emerging national security threats, including foreign infiltration, technology theft, and cyberattacks.
Director General Chen envisions the MJIB as a pivotal pillar in building "Whole-of-Society Resilience" and has empowered the Bureau with the mission of acting as the nation’s "Digital Immune Cells." Emphasizing that cybersecurity is inseparable from national security, he integrates the MJIB's professional digital forensics expertise with extensive national security investigation experience. Under his leadership, the MJIB promotes the "Cybersecurity Allies" Joint Defense Initiative with Critical Infrastructure (CI) operators and key enterprises, comprehensively defending Taiwan's digital territory from a strategic national security perspective.
