My background is in nursing, and my passion is in combining healthcare and IT. I am fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to assist over 10 different medical centers to fulfill their inter-hospital patient records exchange requirements, as well as assist in the building of medical IT systems from the ground up for allied nations. In 2015, I led the integration of different IT teams and departments at Wanfang Hospital, bringing them together to form a cohesive unit to drive the development of new digital services and building of microservices infrastructure. These efforts resulted in Wanfang Hospital becoming the first of Taipei Medical University’s affiliated hospitals to receive the National Healthcare Quality Award for smart hospital. In 2022, I was appointed as Taipei Medical University’s Deputy Chief Technology Officer to establish and lead a new information security team to help strengthen the resilience of the University’s cloud infrastructure against malicious actors. I also joined the Ministry of Education’s Information Security Auditing team to receive training for the management, strategic planning, and technical implementation of information security measures. During my tenure I have also managed to successfully help drive the updating of both the hardware and software of the University’s on premise servers and data centers to support AI based management and security solutions for the purpose of building a solid foundation for the building of a secure, and inter-connected IT network. I look forward to sharing my experiences at the Cybersec 2023 in Taiwan.
