CGS high density and powerful Network Packet Brokers (NPB) optimize cyber security and performance monitoring applications by delivering the required data in the right volume and the correct format.
CGS NPBs are deployed on the most modern chipset technology and off-the-shelf hardware platforms and are fully aligned with the latest network technology evolution. With its innovative software, the CGS-NPB series leverages a powerful state of the art platform, resulting in the most reliable, scalable, modular NPB on the market.
CGS NPBs support all network rates, ranging from 10Mbps to 400Gbps, with forwarding capacity ranging from 720Gbps up to 12.8Tbps with Optical, Copper, DAC interfaces in a compact 1RU form factor.
The CGS NPBs are implemented with unified and generic software architecture for all management interfaces supporting CLI, SNMP, WEB UI, NETCONF, and RESTCONF. Our NPBs support aggregation, thousands of filters, load-balancing, rate adjustments, header manipulation, timestamping and additional operations that result in superior network visibility.
CGS Advanced Network Packet Brokers (ANPB) are CPU-based appliances equipped with the compute and memory resources required for CPU-intensive network data analysis.
New network protocols and encapsulations introduce changes in the format and length of packets’ headers. In addition, in order to gain true visibility of the network traffic, the packet payload must be analyzed. Such changes stretch the parsing capabilities of Switch-based NPBs to the limits and reveal a growing need for more sophisticated methods to process the network data.
CGS Advanced Network Packet Brokers allow full flexibility of packets’ header parsing and packets’ payload processing and provide advanced packet manipulation. Advanced features such as filtering of IPV6 in GTP tunneling, Regex and DPI or application based metadata extraction are better implemented on CPU based NPB and are available as part of the CGS Advanced Network Packet Broker offering.
CGS Advanced Network Packet Brokers are available in several categories: desktop appliances, network appliances and servers, enabling a full range of solutions from stand-alone low data capacity cases for small businesses and remote small sites and up to multi-Tbps processing clusters for service providers.
