3808E and 3299 are Niagara's hybrid traffic replicators, providing modular Bypass boards with Active/Passive Bypass loops and multi-port network interfaces with NPB functions. In addition to being able to physically support power outage bypass, it can also send Heartbeat packets to the connected information security devices such as IPS, DDoS, WAF, NGFW, etc. to check the health status and bypass it when it failed, and provide Tool Chain Service function. According to the different characteristics of the connected information security devices, the types of packets entering the information security devices are filtered. The remaining packets are bypassed and then combined with the packets returned from the information security tools, and transmitted to the next information security device or back to the network. The NPB port can be connected to a Out-of-band type information security or traffic monitoring and analysis device to copy, aggregate, and filter the traffic entering the 3808E or 3299 to the Out-of-band type information security device, so as to effectively transport the traffic from the same source to perform more network analysis or information security detection work.
