Philip Sow is a cybersecurity and sales engineering leader with over 25 years of experience across Asia-Pacific. At Proofpoint, he leads regional efforts to protect critical data and assets across email, web, cloud, social media, and mobile platforms, working closely with CISOs and enterprise security teams to strengthen identity-centric and people-focused defences.

Before joining Proofpoint, Philip drove the digital risk protection solution at Digital Shadows in APAC and previously led the South Asia pre-sales engineering team at Splunk, delivering operational and security analytics capabilities for large enterprises across the region.

Philip is also the author of The APAC Sales Engineering Handbook, where he shares practical frameworks and insights drawn from decades of technical leadership, customer engagement, and field experience. His work continues to focus on evolving identity threats, AI-enabled social engineering, and modern attack patterns affecting cloud-driven, multilingual enterprise environments.
